END OF ORDER INFORMATION =============================================================== GODADDY HELP FILES: Can I host multiple domains on a single hosting account? Yes, in addition to your primary domain, you can host additional domains on a single Windows or Linux shared hosting account. Deluxe and Unlimited Hosting plans allow you to point additional domains to any content subdirectory [UNDER THE FOLDER CALLED SCOT197171]. [ N/A: Domains added to Economy hosting plans can point to the hosting root directory, only.] Managing Your Hosting Account Domains: Here's the lowdown: To manage your hosting account domains, go to the Domain Management page in the Settings section of the Hosting Control Center. step by step: after log into godaddy: far left links: click on Hosting which bring to Hosting Control Center click on Settings click on Domain Management NOTE: These processes differ for Linux shared hosting accounts running Hosting Configuration 1.0. If you do not know which configuration your hosting account runs, see How can I find what hosting configuration my account is running?. To Add Domains Windows and Linux Hosting Configuration 2.0 Log in to your Account Manager. In the My Products section, select Hosting. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account. In the Settings section of the Hosting Control Center, click the Domain Management icon. Click Add Domain. Enter the domain name in the Domain field. For Deluxe and Premium plans, enter a new or existing folder in the Folder field. This is where the new domain will point. If you do not enter a folder, your domain will point it to the hosting directory root. Click Ok. For Scot only: Changing your primary hosted domain [TRIPPYGRAPHICS.COM] is possible only on paid accounts that do not have an SSL certificate. (which we will have when upgrade to Unlimited Hosting) If the new domain name is in the same shopper account as your hosting, changing the domain takes between two and twenty four hours, during which time your Web site is accessible through both the old and new domain. Nadine and Nancy: If the new domain name is not in the same shopper account as your hosting, you must manually update your domain's A record so that it points to your Web site's IP address. [ THIS MEAN TRIPPYGRAPHICS.COM server IP which is 72.167.232.60] If the new domain name has subdomains, you must manually create an A record for each subdomain. What ended up working for me: I set my own domains which are registered at godaddy to be Parked. The parked DNS servers are different than scot's and that appears to be right/ok. I changed the A records of my domains to 72.72.167.232.60 - procedure below. I forwarded my domains to: http://www.trippygraphics.com/scot197171/my domain folder/index.htm and set that as permanent. I masked my domain to point to: www.mydomain.com after all that was recognized by godaddy system my web site finally showed up online using www.mydomain.com in browser To Change A Record: Log in your Domains Management for YOUR OWN registered domain. Click on your domain you want to change the hosting to scot's plan. In page that opens see this in second column: Total DNS: (Available) ARecord @ xx.xxx.xxx.xx (whatever your registered domain's ip addy is) CNAME www @ CNAME mobilemail mobilemail-v01.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net CNAME pda mobilemail-v01.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net MX @ smtp.secureserver.net MX @ mailstore1.secureserver.net link: Total DNS Control and MX Records Click on the link:Total DNS Control and MX Records, on the DNS Control page the first item is the Host A record. Click on the check box....look over to far right and click on the pencil to edit enter scot's server IP addy: 72.167.232.60 - not sure what the time thing is but I set it to 1/2 hour. Then Save. You can manually create a subdomain A record in same DNS Control records page - see Add New A Record button on far right. ======================================================= Can I use your company to host my Web site if my domain is registered elsewhere? Yes. Even if your domain name is registered with another registrar you can still host with us. Simply change the nameservers to our name servers. The default nameservers for your hosting account depend on the day you set up your hosting. Use this list to determine your default nameservers: After March 11, 2008 ns51.domaincontrol.com ns52.domaincontrol.com NOTE: SCOT HAD NEW SERVERS ASSIGNED SINCE WE STARTED THIS VENTURE: ns41.domaincontrol.com ns42.domaincontrol.com ==================================================== For Nanx re TrippyGraphics website: Specifying a New Default Document Root on Your Hosting Account http://help.godaddy.com/topic/307/article/4175?ci=8058 NOTE: This procedure is available for Linux accounts running Configuration 2.0 and Deluxe or Premium Windows hosting accounts. We do not support the concept of explicitly changing the document root on your hosting account. However, there is a workaround you can employ to accomplish this. Follow the procedures in the following articles, keeping in mind that the domain name you choose in procedure one does not have to exist in your account but must be unique across our system. Also, the domain name you use in procedure two must be the original hosting account domain name, along with the folder you want to serve as your new document root. note: the link to click: http://help.godaddy.com/article/4688 brings back to the Managing your Hosting domains above but with more steps than I've pasted there. =================================================================== How to To Assign AccountExec Permissions 1. Log in to your Account Manager. 2. In the My Products section, select Hosting. 3. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account. 4. Next to your domain name, in the upper right corner of the Hosting Control Center, click Change Account. 5. Click the checkbox next to the account you want to add an AccountExec for, and click on the AccountExec button in the action bar. 6. Click Add AccountExec. 7. Select the AccountExec you wish to add permissions for from the drop down list. 8. Select the permissions you wish add for the AccountExec. Click OK to apply the changes. NOTE: Nadine and Nancy: If you are assigned as an AccountExec use the following link to access the account you're assigned: https://hostingmanager.secureserver.net/Login.aspx Enter your customer number and password associated with your customer account to proceed. Come to Account List then click on Other's Accounts Note to Scot: AccountExec Permissions http://help.godaddy.com/article/4968?#content You can assign multiple permissions to an AccountExec. Nadine and Nancy have been assigned Infrastructure, Content and Reporting permissions as of 3/30/09. Scot: If you want to change that, you can do that. If you want us or one or the other to have Administrative permissions you can change that. Remember that at this point all of us can get into your account with your customer number and password - thereby bypassing using the Account Exec permissions feature completely. NOTE Scot: You cannot assign DNS Manager or SSL Certificate permissions to an AccountExec. only logging in as Scot can do that. The following is a list of which sections in the Hosting Control Center you can give an AccountExec access to. Administrative: * Account Login * Optional Enhancements * Password Vault Infrastructure: * Sub Domains * Aliased Domains * Domain Management * FrontPage Extensions * 404 Error Behavior * Change Domain Name * Manage FTP Users * Error Logs * SSH * IIS Settings * Form Mail * Add On Languages * CGI Admin * Cron Manager * Sitemaps * Google Web Master Tools * Directory Management * MySQL * Access * SQL Server * Configure Web Statistics Content: * FTP Client * File Manager Reporting: * Launch Free Web Stats * Launch Site Analytics * Bandwidth Usage * Disk Space Usage * Access Logs ================================================================
